🗒️ Detailed Release Notes

🎨 Look and Feel

• New Design & UX

  We've refreshed the design and UX of Top.gg with a new modern look and feel across the entire site. Anyone is empowered to select their own theme from seven colors and toggle between dark and light mode. Simply click on your profile picture to access this menu.

  Some of you may remember we used to have a system in the past with limited customization for the site navbar, we're excited to bring this back in a more elegant way.

  A key change in our new design is that top lists and search results will now be displayed as lists as opposed to the previous grid layout.

🗺️ Site Navigation

• Infinite Scroll

  We have added infinite scroll to our home page. As you continue to scroll down, you'll see new top bot or server categories load depending on whether you have selected Discord Bots or Servers. To toggle between Top or New entities on the homepage, simply click this slider under Discord Bots or Discord Servers.

  

  Note: trending new bots and trending new servers are in the process of being added back to the main pages. You will be access them via the toggle and also able to see them below top voted bots and below top voted servers.

• You might be wondering, how can I access the footer information with infinite scroll?

  

  The old Top.gg footer

  There are two places to access this information in our new redesign. Extras such as dark theme and usage data can now be accessed by clicking on your profile picture in the top right hand corner. All other information such as Important Links, Partners, and Contact Information can be found via our contextual menu. Click on the "..." next to Add in the top left corner of the site to expand it and see full options.

  

• Navatar Menu

  To access our new Navatar menu, simply click on your profile icon in the top right hand corner of the site. You can access your profile through this menu, select your default language or color scheme and toggle between light or dark mode. We are able to add new languages once they are fully translated. We are looking for more translators to help with our web and backend translations. Please join #translators and sign up on crowdin if you'd like to contribute!
